Native to Planet Zoron, the humanoid known as Leaf Qwembi crash landed some years ago in the City of Angels. There he briefly set up shop before escaping to the East Coast just as Our Lady Hip Hop was coming on the scene. Having fallen under Her wing at an early age, he got his first taste of Emceeing in the 6th grade. While pursuing higher learning at Virginia State, the Zoronite takeover began, expanding to influence the lives of many – human and alien alike – before roots took hold deep down south. Having completed his mission in Florida, he has since returned to his Home Base, working with his alien brethren to begin assimilation of the masses on a much grander scale.
Strong influences from the Golden Age of Hip Hop – with traces of greats like Eric B & Rakim, De La Soul, and A Tribe Called Quest – can be found skillfully woven into Leaf Qwembi’s repertoire. After over a decade actively involved in the music scene and a discography numbering 13 with more on the way, he has gone above and beyond in showing his skills as a producer, lyricist, and performer.
